# Phase 1: Foundation Phase (Q1 2025 )

**Key Objectives: Laying the Groundwork for Decentralized Science Funding**

In this foundational phase, DeSciAi will focus on setting up the core infrastructure necessary for decentralized science funding and project execution.

* **Technical Architecture and Smart Contracts**: Finalizing the smart contract designs that will drive decentralized research funding, milestone approvals, and IP tokenization.
* **Decentralized Launchpad**: Developing the launchpad where research proposals can be submitted, vetted, and funded.
* **Tokenization of Research**: Introducing Research NFTs (R-NFTs) and Project Research Tokens (PRTs) using ERC-721, ERC-1155, and ERC-20 standards, ensuring unique and fractional ownership of research assets.
* **Initial Research Offering (IRO)**: Testing the tokenization and IRO mechanics to validate the funding lifecycle.
* **Launch of DSA Token**: Introducing the DeSciAi platform token (DSA) and integrating it into the ecosystem.
* **Swarm AI Agent System**: Deploying a basic Swarm AI Agent System (SAAS) to help with proposal vetting and data verification.
* **DAO and Governance Setup**: Establishing the first DAO framework, providing token holders with governance rights over platform upgrades and decisions.
* **Community Onboarding**: Onboarding early researchers, funders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) while running educational campaigns to raise awareness.

By the end of Phase 1, DeSciAi will have its MVP (Minimum Viable Product) operational with key functionalities, marking the beginning of a decentralized research revolution.
